Up, up and away

At one time, Wardair was once the main competition to Air Canada. Meal was always filet mignon! First class in every way except the price. What beter way to take a long overseas flight. I was off to visit my friend Judith. She had spent about 6 months in Toronto in 1980 and in August that year, my mother and her friend Laurie plotted for us to meet. Judith had just moved into a rented room at Laurie's after a disasterous beginning to her stay. My Mom and Luarie thought it would be nice if I befriended her and showed her some of the sights, as we were close in age and may have something in common.

I agreed but made a plan. We'd go to an activity at local park. If things weren't going well, we'd "become separated" and I'd head home. Evil.... Turns out, we had a smashing great time and I phoned home to ask if I could invite her to dinner. Over the rest of Judith's stay (October), we spent hours together. Including a visit to Ottawa that Thanksgiving, just before she flew home. We made plans for me to visit London and she's reciprocate the great time.
