Portmadoc (Porthmadog)

My reason for this stop was for the Rheilffordd Ffestiniog Railway I wanted to take to my next destination, Betws-y-Coed A switch from riding BritRail. (Note: I have no idea why I took no pictures!)

The railway is roughly 13 1⁄2 miles (21.7 km) long and runs from the harbour at Porthmadog to the slate mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog. From there, it's about 30 minutes to Betws-y-Coed. 82060724
