The museum was founded and run by Liz and Jim Hughes, who "single-handedly jump-started" what became the annual Beatles Convention in Liverpool. After trying to visit some of the places, I quickly realized without a car, it would be difficult to get very far. So, I returned to the museum and by chance, Liz received a phone call from someone writing yet another book on John Lennon and wanted a guide. Liz made contact with Bob Wooler and to seal the deal, the "author" had to take me along on their sightseeing (the writer had a car). 82061006.
