I didn't stay long, as it was the same rainy, gloomy place I visited 10 years prior. I moved onwards to Edinburgh allowing more time to find lodgings. Sure Glasgow is a lovely place to visit, just didn't feel any vibes about staying.
Glasgow grew from a small rural settlement on the River Clyde to become the largest seaport in Scotland, and tenth largest by tonnage in Britain. By the 1960s, growth of industry in countries like Japan and West Germany, weakened the once pre-eminent position of many of the city's industries. By the late 1980s, there had been a significant resurgence in Glasgow's economic fortunes. 82060418
